ADHD Coaching with Katie: Meet Your Life Coach

Like many women with ADHD, I wasn't diagnosed until adulthood. Ironically, I sought help because my child was being evaluated, and by the end of the process, I realized I recognized myself in everything we were discussing.

Before that, I spent years questioning why I could manage big, complex challenges yet struggled with a simple to-do list. Although I was smart and motivated, everyday life felt much harder for me than it seemed to be for others. I often felt perpetually behind, overwhelmed by tasks that appeared effortless for others, and carried a lot of shame for not being able to explain my struggles.

Getting my own ADHD diagnosis brought a mix of relief, grief, and recalibration. For the first time, my experiences were clarified. I wasn’t lazy, unmotivated, or broken—my brain simply functioned differently.

This understanding transformed everything for me. It ignited a deep curiosity about ADHD and led me to become an ADHD life coach. I wanted to assist other adults in finding the same clarity I discovered, without the lengthy wait I experienced.

Today, I work with adults who are newly diagnosed, long-diagnosed but still struggling, or somewhere in between through my adult ADHD coaching. My approach is warm and practical, grounded in the realities of how ADHD brains operate. I firmly believe there isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution for ADHD, so we collaborate to understand your unique brain, identify your individual strengths, and develop personalized coaching strategies that fit seamlessly into your life. My goal is to help you spend less time battling your ADHD and more time learning how to embrace it.

My Guiding Principles

compassion

Self-compassion may feel foreign or uncomfortable, especially for those experiencing ADHD. As your ADHD life coach, I'm here to help you gently embrace this concept. In our adult ADHD coaching sessions, you'll be met with kindness as we explore personalized coaching strategies to treat yourself with more warmth and acceptance. It's not only possible - it's powerful.

worthiness

You are not worthy based on perfection or finally feeling 'fixed'. You are worthy now, in all your humanness. This belief is at the heart of my work as an ADHD life coach. Together, we will develop personalized coaching strategies to quiet the noise that tells you that you have to earn your place. Instead, we will anchor into the steady truth that you are already enough, especially in the context of adult ADHD coaching.

Our bodies know when we are with someone safe, and I want you to feel that trust with me as your ADHD life coach. Especially when we are discussing the hard topics, my goal is to create a supportive environment where you can show up fully, knowing you're met with care and personalized coaching strategies, not judgment. With adult ADHD coaching, you’ll find a space to feel safe and understood.

ADHD can chip away at your self-trust. Missed details, impulsivity, and feeling misunderstood often lead to self-doubt. As your ADHD life coach, I’m here to help you soften the inner critic and reconnect with the wisdom that's always been there, using personalized coaching strategies through understanding, support, and compassion.

My Philosophy

My coaching philosophy as an ADHD life coach is simple: ADHD is not a character flaw—it’s a different way of thinking, feeling, and processing the world. I believe meaningful change comes from understanding how your brain works, honoring your lived experiences, and building self-compassion, not shame. Through adult ADHD coaching, I guide

I am also working toward professional accreditation with the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and the Professional Association for ADHD Coaches (PAAC). My background includes training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, a 200-hour yoga teaching certification, and extensive experience as a professional home organizer, where I help clients develop supportive home systems. This unique combination of education and experience enables me to understand adult ADHD coaching challenges and how ADHD manifests in daily routines, emotions, and transitions. As an ADHD life coach, I guide clients with both insight and personalized coaching strategies tailored to their specific needs.

As an ADHD life coach, I believe in creating spaces rooted in safety and respect, embracing the full range of our human experience—where there’s no need to mask or perform. I honor the many diverse ways of being and the identities we carry. I make room for shutdowns and joy, hyperfixations and stillness, our quirks, and our beloved stimms. Through adult ADHD coaching, I emphasize that self-regulation begins with self-recognition. All of us deserve to live according to our own rhythms, using personalized coaching strategies that celebrate our unique experiences.
